Enabling meetup notifications for SSS (so you get payment details)

Ok so really quickly, a lot of people turn off meetup emails because its annoying spam, however this is the only way you will get communications from the Orgs when a bed becomes available for you for a Snowstay weekend (because meetup.com doesnt share your email or phone number with us). If you dont have it enabled (just for our group) you are going to miss out. This is how you do it !

On Mobile (android, sorry thats all i have)

  1. click the profile (top right)

  2. hit the (cog icon)

  3. Email Updates

  4. email me when someone sends me a message

  5. navigate to SSS group

  6. press the three dots icon (top right)

  7. Email settings

  8. turn on

    1. (optionally) New event announcement

    2. My RSVP is confirmed

    3. (optionally) changes to event time/location

    4. Event updates from organisers

    5. (MOST IMPORTANTLY) Mailing list messages “as they are sent”

On Web

  1. click profile (top right)

  2. click settings

  3. click email updates

  4. ensure Email updates are on

  5. (optionally) turn on both email and push

  6. under updates about your groups edit Sydney Skiers and Snowboarders

  7. turn on

    1. (optionally) New event announcement

    2. My RSVP is confirmed

    3. (optionally) changes to event time/location

    4. Event updates from organisers

    5. (MOST IMPORTANTLY) Mailing list messages “as they are sent”

  8. Turn off whatever you dont want

  9. click the back button to Email Updates (top left)

  10. Turn off any other groups you dont want/need to notify you
